A concept sprint is a self-initiated design exercise. I pick a brand I admire and design what I'd propose if they walked in tomorrow. The point is to think out loud, in public, in full design language. A concept sprint shows how I read a brand, what questions I ask first, and how a space can become an argument for what a brand believes. Every concept sprint here is speculative. None of these have been built. All of them could be.

BRICK — an athletic studio

the concept, from the body to the building

it started with a brick.

not the material — the workout. in endurance training a brick is when you stack a bike straight into a run, back to back, no rest. they call it that because by the second discipline your legs feel like they're made of brick. i was deep in hyrox training when i started noticing what those sessions did to me. not the exhaustion — the clarity. bike, run, breath, repeat. no music that mattered, no mirror i looked at, no screen i needed. just rhythm. the same movement, over and over, until the noise in my head went quiet and only the cadence was left.

and then i'd look up at where i was training, and the space was fighting me. screens shouting, mirrors everywhere, music competing with the person next to me, equipment scattered like an afterthought. every gym i'd ever trained in was designed around stimulation. but endurance isn't stimulation. it's the opposite. it's focus, repetition, and flow.

so i asked myself one question: what would a training space look like if it were designed with the same discipline as the training itself?

the answer wasn't a better gym. it was a different kind of building.

one material. one volume. one ritual.

BRICK is built from a single idea and a single material — brick. brick is structure, climate, and identity at once. its mass holds the heat out and softens sound. it grounds the body. and it carries the double meaning i started with: the brick in your legs, the brick in the wall. the effort and the architecture, made of the same thing.

inside, every athlete gets one station: a bike, a run, and a small personal pocket for a bottle and a bag. nothing else. the stations line the walls in a perfect rhythm, each one facing a tall arched window and the horizon. you don't face a mirror or a leaderboard. you face the light. there are no screens, no music, no competition. what replaces the noise is breath, footfall, and the wind moving through the arches.

light instead of noise.

the light doesn't spotlight the machines — it grazes the brick. it moves across the surfaces slowly and marks time rather than performance. that's the whole shift: the architecture isn't a container for the workout, it is the workout's discipline made spatial. repetition becomes the design. the arcade of arches is the cadence. the building trains with you.

you arrive through a deep arch into shade, change, move through the silent hall, stretch in a room that holds nothing but the sea view, and cool down in a garden by the water. one clean sequence. arrival, effort, exhale.

a system, not a one-off.

because the idea lives in the architecture and not the location, BRICK can exist anywhere serious endurance culture does. the geometry, the program, the discipline never change. only three things adapt to each place — the brick tone, the quality of light, and the landscape. it begins on the egyptian coast at el gouna, and travels to barcelona, los angeles, cape town, mexico city. same idea, different brick, different light.

BRICK is not a gym. it's an architectural ritual for endurance — a space where the body can flow without a single unnecessary distraction. it started as the way i train. it became a way to build.
